About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Social Work Practitioner (ASWP) to join our Support Families First (S.F.F) team in the Wyre Forest and Bromsgrove areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team focused on delivering exceptional support to children and families.

The ASWP role is pivotal within our team, which works with children and their families under a Child in Need Plan. The team also supports families facing challenges related to care issues. Each pod is comprised of various disciplines, including Money Mentors, Family Support Workers, Youth Mentors, Outreach Support Workers, Substance Misuse Workers, Administration Officers, Family Meeting Coordinators, and Emotional Health and Wellbeing Workers. This innovative approach has led to positive outcomes for many vulnerable children and families in Worcestershire.

Our intervention model typically spans up to 16 weeks, with extensions available if necessary. We aim to keep families together whenever it is safe and appropriate, making this role both dynamic and impactful.

Recent OFSTED feedback highlighted the effectiveness of our service, noting that concerns are reduced, and many children are successfully diverted from care to remain with their families.
