The Interview Process

The Interview Process – Care Angels Homecare Limited

At Care Angels Homecare Limited, we believe in more than just hiring staff — we welcome individuals who are passionate about care, dedicated to excellence, and committed to making a difference in people’s lives. Our interview process is designed to help us get to know you better and ensure that every team member shares our values of dignity, respect, compassion, and professionalism.

Step 1: Application Review

Once you submit your application, our recruitment team carefully reviews your CV and supporting documents to assess your qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role. We look for individuals who have a genuine passion for providing outstanding care and a commitment to putting people first.

Step 2: Initial Telephone Screening

If your application meets our initial criteria, we will contact you to arrange a short telephone screening. During this call, we’ll ask about your background, availability, the specific role you’re applying for, and your motivations for joining Care Angels Homecare. This is also your chance to ask questions and learn more about who we are.

Step 3: Face-to-Face or Virtual Interview

Shortlisted candidates are invited to a formal interview, which can be held in person or virtually, depending on your location and circumstances. The interview typically includes:

  • A detailed discussion of your experience in care or relevant sectors
  • Scenario-based questions to assess how you would handle real-life care situations
  • An evaluation of your communication skills, values, and approach to person-centred care

We value honesty, empathy, and professionalism in our team members, so we encourage you to be yourself and speak from the heart.

Step 4: Reference & Background Checks

If your interview is successful, we’ll proceed with professional reference checks and Enhanced DBS clearance to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients. You will also be asked to provide proof of your right to work in the UK and relevant training certificates.

Step 5: Job Offer & Onboarding

Candidates who pass all checks will receive a formal job offer. Once accepted, you’ll begin our structured staff onboarding and induction programme, which includes training on:

  • Company policies and procedures
  • Safeguarding and health & safety
  • Infection control
  • Person-centred care
  • Confidentiality and GDPR
  • Medication awareness and more

You’ll be fully supported by our management team from day one, with regular supervision and ongoing professional development opportunities.
