Home care
Home / Domiciliary Care
Flexible, visiting care in your own home — from a short daily check-in to several calls a day, built around your routine.

What this is
Domiciliary care (often called home care) is support delivered to you in your own home, rather than in a care home or hospital.
Carers visit for agreed lengths of time, at times that suit you, to help with daily tasks, personal care and wellbeing.
Visits can range from a short morning call to multiple visits across the day, depending on what you need.
Who might benefit
- People who want to remain independent at home but need some day-to-day help
- Older people managing a long-term condition or reduced mobility
- People recovering from illness, injury or a hospital stay
- Anyone whose family carer needs extra support or a break
How we help

Your assessment
- A member of our team visits to understand your needs, routines and preferences
- We discuss any risks and how we would manage them safely
- We involve you, and your family if you wish, in agreeing the plan
- The assessment is reviewed regularly and whenever your needs change

Common questions
How quickly can domiciliary care start?
Timescales depend on your needs and our current availability. Once we have completed an assessment, we will agree a realistic start date with you.
Can I change my care package later?
Yes. Care plans are reviewed regularly and can be adjusted as your needs change.
Will I have the same carer each time?
We aim for consistency and plan rotas to keep familiar faces wherever possible, though cover is sometimes needed for holidays or sickness.
Do you provide care every day or just occasionally?
Both are possible. Visits can be arranged daily, several times a week, or for occasional support, depending on what suits you.
Who pays for home care?
Care can be self-funded, or funded in part by the local authority or NHS depending on assessment. See our funding page for more information.
